WHAT IS INDIVIDUAL DESIGN?

Individual Design (ID) is a prime offering. Simply put, it is assessment based, personalised fitness that respects where you have been, where you are and where you wish to go in terms of your fitness. It begins with your present capabilities and nudges you towards your future goals and outcomes a day, week, month and a year at a time.

THE INTAKE FORM

This is a comprehensive form that gives us insight into your past training experiences, athletic history and a look into your present life—things you prioritise and value, what your schedule looks like, your nutrition log, what you have access to. And lastly, your fitness goals and outcomes.

THE INITIAL CONSULT

This will be a 60-90 minute discussion where we have a face to face chat (via Zoom) to get a deeper understanding of everything you mentioned in the intake form. In addition to this, we will discuss the way forward for you.

BMW ASSESSMENT

The Body, Move, Work Assessment is a physical screen to take into consideration your skeletal muscle mass (has to be done using an InBody—available at commercial gyms or nutritionists), your movement limitations, and your work capacity (aerobic fitness). This is an informed place to begin designing your training program. This connects training to who you are and what you are presently capable of. This is an absolute must and allows a deeper understanding and truthful route towards your goals and outcomes while respecting your abilities.

TRAINING AND DESIGN

Post the findings and analysis from your initial consult and BMW Assessment, your training program is crafted for your goals and outcomes. This includes your lifestyle prescriptions (nutrition behaviours, nutrition plan, daily practice), your training program (basic availability of equipment and tools accessible to you), and your priorities.

 

Here begins the journey of you performing your Individual Design program (at your own time but very much in sync with your coach) and sending in video submissions for corrections and progressions for a crafted experience to move you towards your outcomes.

ONGOING CONSULTS AND CHECK INS

Ongoing consults (depending on your plan it could be weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) are the most informative and educational part of your fitness journey. This is where we meet, discuss, analyse and assess, realign and execute. Showing up to these are the educational experiences that make the process more seamless and respect your goals and outcomes. This is at the heart of building personal autonomy in fitness.

ROAD TO AUTONOMY

This is the end goal that we aim to strive for over the course of years. There is no fixed amount of time that will get you to this point (just like you are unique, this outcome is unique). But this is the end goal—for you to be independent and walk away with all the tools and education you need to THRIVE in your personal fitness journey. This is the legacy we want all our clients to build and leave with; to be better, capable, healthier, independent and thinking individuals that choose to thrive in life.
